Baby Boomers: Do You Have a Passion for Earning money and achieving Fun?
Wednesday, October 12th, 2011Are you among a precious minority of baby boomers who actually enjoy getting out of bed every morning on and on to operate?
Unfortunately, so many people despise what they do. Work that they once found energizing, and exciting, no more fills all of them with the same joy as it accustomed to. Yet, despite those negative feelings they keep going, just like a hamster on a wheel. They keep doing exactly the same thing again and again, often expecting another result. Or, they carry on simply because they fear change, and do not possess the courage to take a risk to behave new.
The main excuse baby boomers, yet others give for staying put is they require the money. Yes, you cannot reason that people need money to live, settle payments, and so forth. However, it’s amazing and even mind-blowing what people endure for a paycheck. What percentage of you drag yourself out of bed each morning, drive-thru rain, sleet, snow, and more to visit a job you hate so you can get money to pay the debts? Then, of course, you need to reverse your circumstances to come back home, only to start all over again the next day.
Let’s not pretend, seldom does your work nowadays offer anything kind of security, especially as more and more seniors are being offered early retirement, or just being let go because their job has been eliminated, or someone younger and cheaper takes your position. This is a real tragedy, specifically for those seniors nearing the “Golden Years.”
Should you be truly honest with yourself, you would take a step back to actually examine your life. You’d look at what provides you with pleasure, and what doesn’t. Then you would question so why do you subject you to ultimately the negatives in your lifetime? Is the money you earn really worth the pain, suffering, and in all likelihood poor health? How about the medications you need to take so that your body, especially your central nervous system, can endure all this abuse?
I grew up in the corporate jungle for many years before I finally awoke. I truly comprehend the motivations you have and I empathize with you. I did it day in and day out, but I finally got disgusted. I was no more excited to visit work (basically has ever been), and I was never fulfilled. I knew the time had come that i can create a change. Admittedly, I had been laid off 3 times before I had been forced into making some new decisions.
It’s not necessary to hold back until they put you out to pasture. Every day you have a choice what you do. Naturally, you can preserve going doing what you are doing, and setting up using the consequences. Alternatively, you’ll find the courage to be selfish, and make a move new and different.
Admittedly, it’s not easy to obtain the power to permit yourself to make drastic changes, unless, of course, you’ve got a true and burning passion. When you’re truly passionate about doing something, it’s easy to become single-minded, and completely motivated to do what you enjoy doing.
What are you truly passionate about? Could it be something you turns into a home-based business? Is it something which might help supplement your income, if you are not currently in a position to quit the task you hate. Using a hobby or interest on the side can often balance the negativity you have in your regular job.
You have the choice every single day to create changes in your lifetime. You can start off dabbling within the many business income opportunities so you gradually pluck up courage to delve deeper while you gain in confidence moving forward.
